Metal Night | IVW19 @ John Peel Centre

As part of Independent Venue Week, we bring you a Metal night of UK Hard-Core. For those not familiar with UK hard-core, it is a mixture of heavy metal and punk, and we promise you it is an experience you won’t forget quickly!

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, Allfather and M$rder who were part of the original line-up are no longer able to perform. However, we can now announce that Peterborough-based UKHC band Vendetta and Norwich-based band B*stard will be performing alongside Ipswich-based UKHC band To The Nines.

[Note – videos/tracks on this page, and on the night, may contain adult language]

Vendetta are a UK Hardcore band formed in 1998 in the mean streets of Diesel City with the desire to make music for themselves and nobody else, with true British attitude and spirit, they wear their music on their sleeves.

“Stomping revving UK Hardcore that’s full of p*ss & vinegar and no doubt looking for a fight. Leary as hell and bouncing off the walls like a power-ball in a snapback!” – Metal Hammer Magazine

Over their 20 year reign, Vendetta have shared stages with Terror, Madball, Death Before Dishonor, Prowler, No Second Chance, Hed(pe), Stuck Mojo, From Eden To Exile & Skindred to name a few and since winning ‘Metal 2 The Masses” and playing at Bloodstock in 2016, Vendetta are just growing from strength to strength.

Vendetta released their second full album “Laws Of Brotherhood” last year.

To The Nines formed in 2013 by Ray ‘El Roacho’ Mitchell (Skinticket/Fight with Honour) – guitar and Barney ‘Buzz’ Monger (Extreme Noise Terror/The King Is Blind) – drums, with the vision of creating a Hardcore band to represent the Suffolk scene. Joined by Ant Pring (Vividus/Count Your Friends) on guitar, Billy Brace (Lunar Viscra/Dark Era) on bass and Stu ‘Beef’ Bridges (Thames Burial) on vocals, TTN laid waste to the John Peel Centre in Stowmarket supporting Arise.

2014 saw TTN releasing their debut EP ‘DOGS’ recorded at HVR Studios by Danny B (Criminal/Lock Up/Annihilated) and produced and featuring John Loughlin of the mighty Raging Speedhorn. It was also the year to see them impress crowds supporting prominent figures of the UK and European Hardcore scene such as Proven, Ninebar, Fallbrawl, and Grove Street Families.

In 2015 Ant parted ways with TTN and replaced with Billy’s brother, Charles ‘Teach’ Brace (Lunar Viscra). After almost a year of gigging and writing new material, TTN entered back into HVR Studios to record their full length album ‘THE STRUGGLE’ featuring guest spots from Pierre (Knuckledust), John Audio (Broken Chakra) and AK (Fallbrawl).

At the beginning of 2017 TTN parted ways with Billy and soon after Ray had to leave due to personal circumstances so a major line up change happened.

Armed with a completely crushing new line up of Matt (vocals), Teach (guitar), Beef (guitar), Dave (bass), and Buzz (drums) and whole load of new material, TTN were well received at IVW18.
