emerge: Asbestøs, The Verdicts, Is It Art?, Floydy n Slips @ John Peel Centre

emerge is our local band night, showcasing exciting new local talent. Come along to support these talented artists and potentially see the international stars of the future!

Performing will be Asbestøs, The Verdicts, Is It Art?, and Floydy n Slips (not necessarily in that order!)

“Worth supporting if you live locally, these emerge nights” – Steve Lamacq, BBC Radio 6 Music

are a pop punk band from Cambridgeshire and Essex. Vocalist/guitarist Matt and drummer Joe founded the band in late 2015 based off their love for the 90s punk scene. They originally started off as a covers band before enrolling James as their bassist and backing vocalist in summer of 2016. At this point the band became comfortable performing their own original songs.

The Verdicts are an indie alternative band from Colchester. They have been compared to other indie alternative acts like SWMRS, Rat Boy and Jamie T.

Is It Art? are a four-piece from Ipswich, performing alternative rock/indie music.

Floydy n Slips perform high energy rock and roll with some trumpet thrown in. A four-piece from Diss.
