ECTO PEACH

Ecto Peach had to wait till they were in their 40s to find each other. In their prime, but no longer fuelled by the hope of fame & fortune, Ecto Peach are here to play the music because they have to. The fate of humanity may very well depend upon it, or at the very least it might make a person slightly happier than they were before. But either way, it is music that they believe in and have been patiently waiting to play. This isn’t a band trying to find themselves. They know who they are and they know who you are. They’ve got stuff to say and with their own version of middle aged angst they’re gonna tell you about it directly. They’re not gonna simply fade into the background quietly with their M&S slippers on (however much they like the quality and reasonable prices of M&S.. and the fact that their perfume is not tested on animals). No, they’ve got a story for the ages and one which all ages can relate to. Even if it’s just a warning to the younger audience about their future lives…

SUBSTATION

SUBSTATION are an indie rock band formed at Queens Road Studio in June 2017. The original members include lead vocalist Lily, guitarist and backing vocalist Jack and drummer Isaac. September 2018, bass player Harry joined and the band developed a new stronger sound which has been developed further when Cameron joined in April 2019.

In the past 12 months (since April 2018) SubStation have written and developed a prolific range of songs. Their EP ‘The Yellow One’ was released in November 2019 0n QRS Records and In December 2019 they were in the BBC Introducing studio where they were interviewed, played 3 of their tracks and competed against the BBC team and Horse Party in the Christmas special. SubStation were also voted 2nd in a poll of the best EPs in East Anglia 2019. A pretty good year!

The band are renowned for their dramatic and powerful lyrics, written by Lily, overlaid onto heavy riffs and intricate melodies creating powerful tunes.

“The Lyrics are dark and captivating. Lily’s voice is addictive.” Battle of the Bands BSE Judging panel.

PHOEBE AUSTIN

Phoebe Austin is a Suffolk born singer-songwriter with a true talent in storytelling which will leave your heart both racing and broken. Phoebe’s rare ability to understand and appreciate life from different perspectives is evident in her lyrics. Wise beyond her years, Phoebe has received critical acclaim for her music and was signed to a record label at just thirteen. Her music has been regularly played on BBC radio and she has performed at many festivals over the years.

The songstress is keen to return to the gigging circuit having written almost a hundred songs in the past year. Phoebe is looking forward to releasing her first EP later this year on an independent label, produced by Stephen MacLachlan.

A LIGHT LEFT ON

Upbeat & light hearted original trio from Sunny Clacton on Sea showcased at the Montreux Jazz Cafe in London & featured on 6music by Tom Robinson. Received high praise for their writing from BBC Essex DJ’s Veena V; Tony Fisher & Sue Marchant from BBC Radio Cambridge. They have been described as ‘melodic acoustic folk with striking lead guitar, subtle strings and blissful harmony’ by the Musician’s Union. Recently they went international to play the prestigious Freight & Salvage venue in San Francisco; Nashville’s Concorde & Norway’s Glenghuset & even got a track ‘Bayonet’ played on the BBC world service. Their material has been used in several independent films & they currently have a new EP ‘Cathedral of Shadows’ out which has been featured on many high profile Spotify playlists including ‘Baked Sunset Vibes’.
