Stowmarket IP14 1ET
Connor Adams, Jerry Harmon, and Steve Young are coming to Stowmarket to perform their ‘In The Round’ tour, each taking turns to play a song.
Connor plays energizing indie/folk, and draws influence from acts such as Ed Sheeran, Eminem & Foo Fighters, which on its own is a very healthy blend of influences. Using his emotive and intimate style of performing, Connor also blends his honest and relatable lyrics to portray his emotion and with this comes accomplishment. Connor performs live with a loop machine, as well as two vocal microphones and his acoustic guitar. This allows him to layer and blend his music in a way, which is quantized and projected to his audience.
Having supported The Darkness at 2,000 capacity venues across the UK, he is now following up from his debut EP that reached no.5 in the iTunes singer-songwriter charts, as Connor has more music in the pipeline to release early 2018 and we can only look forward to this news from a star in the making.
“An up and coming star” – BBC Music Introducing
Jerry Harmon – “The Smoky Mountain Gypsy”
After years of success as a performer in America, sharing the bill with the likes of America’s most celebrated musicians: Dolly Parton, Ricky Skaggs, Tony Rice, Marty Stuart, Earl Scruggs, and others, Jerry has quickly gained recognition as an amazing performer in the UK and mainland Europe performing at major events there. He has appeared at such events as North Carolina’s renowned Merle‐Fest, The Bath International Music Festival, The Edinburgh International Festival, and The Winnipeg Folk Festival. Jerry Harmon was born into a rich family tradition of music. His home, deep in the foothills of the Blue Ridge / Appalachian mountains, reverberated daily to the sound of music in many different forms.
Harmon’s musical career was launched at an early age, strumming a banjo fashioned from wood and groundhog hide by his uncle Gene. Radio programmes featuring Hank Williams Sr, Flatt & Scruggs and Ray Price also proved a lasting influence. Jerry’s new studio album ‘Walk Softly’, which was selected by Country Magazine as one of the highlights of 2017, sees him team up with acclaimed producer Pat Holt (Dr. Hook, Keith Bryant, Darlene Austin) for a record that embraces both his songwriting heritage and the contemporary country scene. Grandmas Are Sexy Too is a playful ode to women of Jerry’s generation.
Steve is a globe trotting session guitarist, teacher & entertainer turned Singer/Songwriter. Early TV appearances with Lionel Richie & Peter Andre soon led to full time touring duties with world famous artists, most notably ex Savage Garden front man Darren Hayes which took Steve on trips around the world performing at the Royal Albert Hall, Wembley Arena, Brisbane QPAC, LA Roxy and many more and ending as co-writer on his last album in 2012.
