“Big Joe Bone” plays “Blues-Grass” music…..a mix of fast, furious Delta Blues, Bluegrass, Oldtime, Gospel and Hillbilly music with raspy vocals, hard driving harmonica rhythms, bottleneck slide guitar playing on steel bodied guitars and fast finger-picked 5 string banjos…..all held together by a very heavy stomping boot!
As well as playing songs from great Roots musicians like Son House, Dock Boggs, Bukka White, Flatt and Scruggs, Mississippi Fred McDowell and Robert Johnson ….. Joe also plays his own songs, which fit right in to his eclectic set.
Dove and Boweevil
Dove & Boweevil are Americana-Soul artists based in Norfolk. Known for their memorable melodies and eclectic and energising music. Soaring vocals from Lauren Dove and raw, gritty guitar from Mark ‘Boweevil’ Howes.
Saltshaker
Saltshaker are a Suffolk based acoustic blues duo playing raw, uptempo, blues with Adrian Day on harmonica and vocals with Andy Heasman on guitar and vocals. Playing a mix of familiar, and not so familiar, blues songs and some original songs too.
Both Adrian and Andy have been active in the local music scene for many years playing in various bands, Adrian is a blues man through and through and involved with running the monthly Blues jam in Ipswich.
