Following the release of her fifth studio album ‘Then Up’ and subsequent UK tour earlier this year, the highly acclaimed singer-songwriter Lisbee Stainton has announced a run of acoustic shows for November 2017.

Now based in London, Hampshire-born Stainton’s career originally started in 2007 when she became the first unsigned artist to play London’s O2 Arena. Soon after, BBC 6Music’s Tom Robinson discovered Lisbee’s song ‘Red’, and his support subsequently led to Lisbee’s music being playlisted by BBC Radio 2.

In addition to releasing five studio albums (‘Firefly’ (2006), ‘Girl on an Unmade Bed’ (2010), ‘Go’ (2011), ‘Word Games’ (2014) and ‘Then Up’ in April 2017), Stainton has also toured with notable artists such as Joan Armatrading, Paul Brady, Gretchen Peters, Paul Carrack and the aforementioned Seth Lakeman – the latter being so moved by Stainton’s live performances that he invited her to join his band in 2012.

Looking ahead to her November tour dates, Stainton said, “I had so much fun touring the new album ‘Then Up’ in May, so I can’t wait to play these dates. Jack Rutter and I work really well together on stage, and the new songs were definitely written to be played live, so it’s a wonderful feeling to have the songs come alive around us. Performing in such intimate venues also allows for us to meet most of the audience, adding a personal dimension to each show. We’ll see you there!”

Support from Sian Cross + Gabby Rivers

Sian Cross is a singer/songwriter from the West Country with a mind-blowing voice. Her debut 2016 release, ‘Tell Anybody’, was received with critical acclaim and made Track of the Day by Clash Magazine who also premiered the music video. ‘Tell Anybody’ has been championed by a number of regional stations including BBC Radio London, BBC Radio Cambridge, BBC Radio Bristol, BBC 3 Counties, BBC Solent and BBC Radio Essex.

This buzz continued to grow following Sian’s double A Side release of ‘On And On’ | ‘Stare At Me’ with increased regional radio support alongside Sian making an appearance on BBC 3 Counties breakfast show for Children In Need as well as achieving national plays and support from BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson, BBC Radio 2’s Paul Sexton and Absolute Radio’s Frank Skinner.

‘Stare At Me’ was also play-listed by TopShop | TopMan for the month of November and could be heard in all Irish and UK stores up and down the country.

During what was a very exciting 2016, Sian headlined the Alternative Escape at The Great Escape Festival and toured the UK joining the BBC Naked Choir winners; Sons of Pitches,  Mishka Shubaly, and 80s pop legends Paul Carrack and China Crisis on their European Tours.

Earlier this year Sian was back in session with the BBC, performing a special live show, which was broadcast over Easter weekend. She’s already had a hectic touring schedule, supporting Mercury Prize nominated Barry Adamson on his European tour as well as dates with Lisbee Stainton and Emma Stevens, and appearing high up the bill at Chill At The Mill Festival in Cornwall. Now gearing up towards the release of her new eagerly anticipated EP ‘Catalyst’, there is no sign of slowing down with two single releases in the pipe-line and multiple festival appearances including the BBC Introducing stage at Standon Calling.
