Blackballed, fronted by Marshall Gill (vocals/guitar), who is more usually seen playing guitar for New Model Army, with Tom Wibberley (Bass) and Leon Gill (Drums), are a full tilt powerhouse blues/rock band from Manchester with a ton of passion and style. Fusing all the best ingredients from blues and rock to psychedelic soulfulness, they conjure up an energy that once discovered won’t be forgotten.
Since their inception in 2012, Blackballed have been smashing down the walls at every show and powering on from strength to strength building on an ever increasing fan base. The band released their second album “Fultons Point” last year, and also played the John Peel Centre last August. This gig was reviewed by Francine Carrel in B-Side Music Magazine, who said:
“I walked out with ears ringing and a massive grin on my face. Blackballed live is totally incomparable with Blackballed recorded. It was one of the most entertaining things I’ve ever seen.”
